February 19, 2010 - 01:46 PM Rosa - chichingf@yahoo.com.hk Dear Dr. Chan, My grandfa (nearly 80 years old) refused to eat and drink becase he think eat and drink is useless. He seems mentally normal as he could said the actual amount of water bill, electricity bill or rent. He ask my ma to prepare to carry on his duties as he said he will die shortly. In fact he is very unhappy because he lived in a very stressful environment for over 50 years. His wife (grandma) is a very selfish woman and his eldest son has very bad habit and always ask him for money. He think he is normal and all he can do is waiting for die and so refused to eat and drink and go to hospital. I don't know whether he is mentally ill or not and I am worry about his health.
